NYC Mayor Adams Proposes Utilizing 20 NYC School Gyms to Accommodate Migrants, Despite Hypocrisy. Liberals Refuse to Condemn, in Show of Additional Hypocrisy
Mayor Eric Adams stated on Tuesday that there is a consideration of using 20 public-school gyms in the city to accommodate migrants. However, he emphasized that this is merely a possibility, even though there have been photographs showing beds being set up in two of the gyms and principals informing parents about this potential arrangement.
Adams asserted that the city has not reached a point where it is overwhelmed with migrants and needs to house them in the gyms. He clarified that the individuals photographed in a Brooklyn gym over the weekend were only there for a few hours and not for an extended period.
In the early hours of Tuesday, a small group of migrant men was transported to a Brooklyn school gym where they stayed for a few hours before being taken away again. The Post received this information from a source who has direct knowledge of the situation.
Mayor Eric Adams confirmed that there are 20 standalone gymnasiums located throughout the city, separate from school buildings, which are being considered as potential locations for housing migrants. He explained that although the city has not reached that point yet, they need to have a prepared list of possible sites in case the influx of migrants continues and they require accommodation.
Last week, approximately 4,200 migrants arrived in New York City, and it is anticipated that another 15 buses will arrive over the coming weekend.
Despite the massive inherent hypocrisy, liberals at large have staunchly refused to critique the situation. It has been a liberal policy as of late to treat migrants with full dignity and humanity, and not to do something as lowly as to pack them in a school gymnasium like sardines. Liberals have also jumped at the opportunity to criticize conservatives for similar actions regarding migrants, yet feel no obligation to criticize liberal leadership when doing the same.
