Trump Maintains Unproven Claims of Election Rigging During CNN Town Hall, Refuses to Acknowledge Loss, Despite Hypocrisy
During CNN's town hall event, former President Donald Trump declined to acknowledge that he lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden, instead continuing to make unproven claims that the election was rigged. He described his defeat as "sad" and reiterated his belief that the election was unfair. Moderator Kaitlan Collins challenged Trump on his false claims about the election and pressed him to acknowledge that Biden had won fairly and legally, but Trump did not concede.
“Unless you are a very stupid person you see what happens…most people understand what happened, it was a rigged election and it was a shame we had to go through it,” Trump told Collins live.
Following this Trump and the host had a bit of a tiff, going back and forth arguing with each other with Trump making a statement about the election being "rigged" while discussing the border wall. Collins, who was present, responded to Mr. Trump by telling him that he couldn't continue to make this claim all night long, as it was not true that the election had been rigged.
This all of course naturally is a continuous strong string oh hypocrisy from Trump. He has stated many times that the election has been rigged and stolen from him, always without providing any evidence, whilst refusing to acknowledge his own wins in the past despite other opponents calling his own win rigged without any evidence themselves.
