Desantis Board Moves to Defund $8 Million Police Budget at Disney Despite Them Deterring a Mass Shooting, Leaving Disney Tourists Wide Open in the Future

The board appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis, responsible for managing the special taxing district at Walt Disney World, has made a significant decision to cut funding from the multimillion-dollar law enforcement budget for the park properties. This budget reduction impacts the same police force that played a crucial role in preventing the Pulse shooter from considering Disney as a potential target.

According to a report from WFTV, Orlando's ABC affiliate, the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) has recently made a decision to cut back on an annual budget of $8 million. This budget was previously allocated for hiring off-duty police officers from the Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) to provide law enforcement services.

The board chairman, Martin Garcia spared some words regarding the matter. Garcia expressed his concerns about what he perceived as wasteful spending on various aspects. Specifically, he mentioned that $8 million was solely dedicated to law enforcement services on Disney properties, which he found illogical. Additionally, as they continue their investigation, they have uncovered other questionable expenses that the previous board had made using district funds.

If the Desantis appointed board gets its way, goers to Disneyworld will have to watch their backs for crime and possibly active shooters, as nobody may come to save them.

“There was spending on a number of fronts that was wasteful,”, and “Eight million dollars was being used for law enforcement services exclusively on Disney properties, and that doesn’t make any sense to me.”

In effect, one could have the interpretation that Ron Desantis’s latest threat against Disney, is to tell tourists that now nobody will be there to save them if a gunman comes to launch an attack against their families, hanging tourists lives above the Walt Disney corporations head. Other criminal acts may now become more common at Disneyworld as well, and a traditional police presence will assuredly take significantly longer to respond to any calls. Despite the severe threats against all walks of innocent life, and associated hypocrisy, conservatives are expected not to criticize Ron Desantis, and fully accept this move against innocent civilians all for the sake of hurting Disney.

In other news, Ron Desantis recently passed several bills, one of which advanced an anti human-rights against trans individuals at the medical level, and the state of Florida inadvertently admitted that the state of Florida is terrible for investment
