Former White House Staffers Accuse Donald Trump of Sexual Harassment During His Presidency. Conservatives Refuse to Condemn
Former employees who worked in the White House during Donald Trump's presidency have come forward to accuse him of sexual harassment. These accusations come after a jury ruled that Trump was liable for sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll, and awarded her $5 million in a judgment. The outcome of this case could have a negative impact on Trump's potential campaign for a second term.
During a discussion on CNN about the ruling against Trump, Alyssa Farah Griffin, who had resigned as White House communications director in December 2020, commented that Trump had a habit of engaging in inappropriate behavior with women while he was serving in the White House.
"I have countless cases of what I considered impropriety in the White House that I brought to the chief of staff because I thought the way he engaged with women was dangerous," Farah Griffin said.
Despite this and a general long history of Trump being accused of horrid sexual practices against women, conservatives still ardently refuse to criticize him at large. This despite everything surrounding Trump at the moment, most notably at him recently being found liable in a civil case involving sexual assault. Despite the hypocrisy, Republicans will almost assuredly continue to refuse to criticize Trump despite consistently flying in the face of conservative values significantly more than the average liberal.
