Texas/Gov Abbott Ships 17,000 Migrants, Including Children Across Country. Despite Hypocrisy, No Noise From Conservatives

Texas has seen a surge in the number of migrants in the past few weeks as the Title 42, a public health order put in place due to the pandemic, is expected to be lifted on Thursday night. As a result, Texas Governor Greg Abbott's office has ordered the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas National Guard to enforce laws related to trespassing, smuggling, and human trafficking. The order is aimed at preventing illegal immigration and keeping Texans safe from criminal activities associated with it, but completely flies in the face of many other conservative values. As part of this effort, buses carrying migrants have been dropped off at Vice President Kamala Harris' residence in Texas. One bus dropped off approximately 50 migrants at the Vice President's residence on Wednesday night, while another carrying more than 30 migrants arrived on Thursday morning. These incidents highlight the urgency of the situation

Naturally while this may appear to be in line with conservative values at first glance, this is merely more in line with conservative tendencies alone as of late. Obviously, it is not in line with conservative values to actively damage the rest of the nation needlessly when there are better solutions. More pressingly, the state of Texas is actively opportunistically hurting nearly 20,000 people, many of whom are effectively innocent. The move is fundamentally incompatible with traditional conservative Christian values

Despite this, republicans have staunchly refused to condemn Governor Abbots move to opportunistically damage nearly 20,000 people, and they seem unlikely to do so anytime soon.
