The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office reported that a 14-year-old girl was playing hide and seek when she was shot in the back of the head by a neighbor named David V. Doyle. Doyle was taken into custody and is now facing multiple charges. The shooting happened early on Sunday, May 7th, when Doyle opened fire on a group of children playing on his property and inadvertently hit the girl. Deputies were alerted to the incident and arrived on the scene to find the injured teenager. It is a tragic incident, and the authorities are investigating the matter further.

Despite being a wonderful opportunity to reevalue gun laws whatsoever in the minds of republicans, they have staunchly refused to criticize the laws that were all but destined to lead to this eventual outcome
